The Juniors
Set in 26 acres of beautiful grounds next to Pitsford reservoir, The Junior School takes children from ages 3 to 11. Conveniently sharing the same location as The Senior School, it offers families a friendly and caring environment where children flourish. With small classes and high teacher to pupil ratio, children can be nurtured and encouraged to achieve their full potential, both socially and academically.
We are fortunate to have extensive and beautiful grounds including an orchard and quiet garden where children can access outdoor learning in all weathers.
The School day runs from 8.40am to 3.40pm (3.30pm for children under 7). There is supervision from 8am for Early Birds, and optional and varied clubs for children in KS2. Prep and creche run after School until 5.20pm.
We offer a wide range of subjects through our broad creative curriculum. In KS1 the emphasis is placed on developing basic skills in reading, writing and numeracy through a variety of exciting topics. In KS2 greater emphasis is placed on independent learning while continuing to develop and extend literacy and numeracy skills.
Equal value is given to the arts and sport; children participate in some form of physical activity every day. We believe in educating the whole child and are proud that our children are happy, self-confident and secure.
Please call the Registrar, Karen Cannon, on 01604 880306, or email kcannon@pitsfordschool.com, who will be pleased to arrange a visit at your convenience.
We have a lot of fun and allow the children to be children. We want to cultivate the whole child and we know that a secure and contented child will learn more readily.
