Funky Hats For Whizz Kids

The Juniors’ Hesketh House chose to raise funds for Whizz-Kids. The charity’s aim is to ensure that every disabled child has an opportunity to lead fun and active childhoods. There are an estimated 70,000 disabled children and young people in the UK waiting for a wheelchair that fits their young lives. That’s where Whizz-Kids help by providing disabled children with the essential wheelchairs and other mobility equipment they need.

Pupils came to school in mufti and crazy hats and also held a cake sale to raise donations for the charity. Some of the hats were very creative and a lot of time had obviously been spent creating them. Well done to all for your effort and determination to raise funds for such a worthy charity! Your fantastic efforts saw a magnificent £190.67 raised!
