Super start for Sportsman of the Year

Year 11 pupil Cameron Twynham, Harborough Mail’s 2011 Junior Sportsman of the Year, has had a fantastic start to his 2012 InterSteps campaign with Fortec Motorsports. Cameron took part in his first two races of the 23 race Championship at Oulton Park in Cheshire with strong results and finishing as top rookie in race two.

Cameron commented after the race: ‘I’m really happy with my progress – I was quite nervous for race one but once that was out of the way I was a lot more relaxed and I really enjoyed race two. It was great to be in the hunt for a podium position in just my second race!’
