Supporting The Saints

Pitsford School are proud sponsors of local team rugby football team, the Northampton Saints. With Rugby being a key sport here, it seemed apt to show our support for the team whilst advertising our school and encouraging supporters to view our website. The board faces the home crowd throughout the season.

John Olver, Saints captain in the early ’90s was head of Sport here at Pitsford from 1990 until 1996. Of course in those days, prior to professionalism in rugby, players had to do “proper” work as well! John won 3 full caps for England, and had many appearances on the bench. In fact when Twickenham was refurbished, he was presented with “the bench” which can now be found on his garden patio!
